The acclaimed Tamil movie 'Barefoot To Goa' has finally made available to download or stream on your favorite streaming website. Directed by Akhil Vasu, this film revolves around a nameless protagonist who sets himself on an adventure in search of his missing father, who had abandoned his family years before. The crux of the story is that the protagonist thinks that if only he can find his dad then everything will be perfect and he may be able to prove to him that he is worthy of being able to live with them again. This ‘perfect’ dream, however, proves too difficult for him to achieve in reality because there are many other obstacles preventing it from happening. This is a great movie, the only thing is that the videos are not of HD quality. The title of one song "Nammoode Utharam" is taken from the Malayalam movie Arousal, thus creating confusion between the audiences.The film was released all over on 19 January 2016. The movie was also released in United States, Canada and United Kingdom And Australia on 22 January 2016. The film has grossed more than 1 crore (10 million) at the box office. On weekdays (Saturday-Wednesday), it made almost 400,000 at the Indian box office. Swati Gupta of "The Hindu" said, ""Barefoot To Goa" is a journey that we've all been yearning for and yet it is one that we should probably avoid. The term "fantasy" has too many negative connotations and potential problems. Add to this its unfulfilled promise and you have a film that might well turn out to be disappointing." Srilekha Chakraborthy of Times Of India gave 3 stars out of 5 commenting, "The best thing about the movie is its length – it manages to pack in quite a lot... By itself, "Barefoot To Goa" would have made for an interesting watch. But it takes a lot of effort to separate fantasy from reality, and this is a film that could have been so much more. While the good bits are all good, the bad bits are really bad." S Gopinath of Film Critics Circle gave 3 stars out of 5 commenting, "The film ends on a positive note citing that ‘love triumphs over everything’ with a message that ‘you alone can find your way to happiness’. At the same time, this story also highlights that true love is not just about finding your mate but also about going through life together. So while the film leaves you with a big happy smile, you also walk out wondering about all that could have been done differently to make it even better." The movie songs and background music were composed by Vidyasagar. The audio was released on December 18, 2015.
